APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #19-0410 FOR ROBOTIC TRAINING OPERATING KIT FOR SUNCOAST TECHNICAL COLLEGE
Description
A bid to provide 'Robotic Training Operating Kit for Suncoast Technical College' was received from one vendor on October 11, 2018. The bid of ROOTS Engineering Services was the best low bid meeting the advertised specifications. The system will be used for instruction by the Advanced Manufacturing and Productive Technology programs at STC and aligns classroom training with local job/skills demand and FLDOE frameworks. This bid is for a one-time equipment purchase and includes additional maintenance plans that will take effect after the initial first year maintenance period. The funds for these purchases are contained in the budget allocated to Suncoast Technical College.
Recommendation
That the bid of ROOTS Engineering Services for 'Robotic Training Operating Kit for Suncoast Technical College' in an amount not to exceed $71,617.00, be approved as presented.
